Our Mission It is the mission of the Family Child Care Association of San Francisco to help its diverse membership maintain a high degree of professionalism in the early care and education of young children and to promote family child care as a vital and necessary service to the community. Our Goals *To build the Association’s organizational capacity commensurate with its scope of work. *To build leadership capacity within the family child care community. *To ensure that family child care providers participate fully on planning bodies and in public policy related to children, families and child care. *To make peer support, technical assistance and information available to every San Francisco family child care provider. *To ensure that family child care providers have the resources they need to provide high quality child care, including support programs, quality training and education, fair regulations and fair access to subsidized child care programs. *To increase awareness among parents, legislators, businesses and the community of the critical role of family child care in the continuum of child care alternatives.
